Here's an article I wrote discussing some tips for successful baking at altitude. As I discovered the hard way, baking at high elevations is… well, tricky. Things either get too fluffy, or not fluffy enough. Or both, oddly enough.
If only my breads came out as pretty as this!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake
I know I haven't blogged much lately. Life has been exceptionally busy and random lately, but I'll be back soon, I promise!
Until then, here is my latest Yahoo! Voices article. It was for my favorite baking recipe, and I chose one of my childhood faves.
Give it a try, I know you'll love it!

Latest Yahoo! article
Here is an article I wrote a few months ago as part of a project for Yahoo! homes. I was actually beginning to lose hope about it being published, but apparently when they say "future project", they take it quite seriously. Anyway, here it is!

Welcome to February in Wyoming?
Um.
Yeah.
This was what I woke up to this morning. And don't let the -22 fool you. With the windchill factor, it was actually -34!

Super Bowl Day!!!!!
It's Super Bowl day!!! WHOOOHOOOO!!!!!
As a Seattleite, I'm super excited. As a Seattleite living just north of Denver? Even more exciting. I have a connection to both teams, which has literally never happened, and I'm actually looking forward to watching the game itself, not just the commercials… which has also literally never happened.
Usually, Super Bowl match-ups involve one team I despise (like the Patriots or 49ers) and one team I'm "meh" about. So I root for the team I'm "meh" about so as to not promote evil, obviously.
But in this case? I like both teams! No one is evil! I love Russell Wilson AND Peyton Manning!
It's gonna be a good day!
If you find yourself hosting an impromptu Super Bowl party, here's my list of Do's and Don'ts.
GO HAWKS!!!!!
